The Shins release ‘Simple Song’ the first new release since Wincing the Night Away. Sounds just like I remembered them. perfect.

I’m so excited for this album and the talent and attention that has come together to prepare it for your ears. 

Seatraffic is having their first show at El Rio in the mission Wednesday September 14th.

PREMIERE: Seatraffic - Speed Limits

It’s my pleasure to bring you the world’s first listen of a brand new band from San Francisco comprised of Mark Zannad and Brandon Harrison - two guys who were music blogging under the banner LoFiDisguise but decided to give it up in favor of making music themselves. Considering the slow and sultry goodness of this first single from their upcoming debut self-titled album coming out next month, I’d say the decision was worth it.  It’s hot like a latenight campfire, burned to embers and the warm red glow.

Black Lips released their newest album Arabia Mountain which was produced by Mark Ronson. The old tape machine sound of this album takes me back to the days I’d sit at the radio and wait for my favorite song to come on so I could hit record.
